Three!

Shortly after that first picture was taken, he was whisked away to the NICU. After a completely typical and healthy pregnancy (a first!), he popped a hole in his right lung with his very first breath. Thankfully, it was small enough and in a spot which left it to heal without major surgery after one week in the NICU.

All is fine these days! Sometimes it amazes me to remember the helpless little guy who was hooked to machines and under an oxygen hood for the first several days of life and see the smart, funny, goofy little boy he is today. He's come a long way, baby! And I'm so happy for it.
