Hogwarts Forever!

So on the 25th (of Feb) I posted that Kid#1 had started the Harry Potter books. By last Saturday (the 14th), he had not only read the first three but had re-read the third book! He started the fourth book a bit before bed on Saturday and is already halfway done! He adores them and would love for Hogwarts to be real (and him be a Gryffindor, of course).

With his recent report card, we received the results of some testing that the school does to monitor student literacy. One section is "correct words per minute" in oral fluency. His score? Nearly 180 WPM! He's going to breeze through these books in no time. Only now do I appreciate what it took for my mom to "keep me in books" when I was younger!
